Dearly Beloved,
Proverbs 29:17,
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”.
The vision and dream of God for your life forms the basis for the right corrections and adjustments that you must make in your life. It is not just that you know where you are going; you must know that on the way from where you are to where you are going, you will need to make adjustments so as to remain on the road.
The distance or the road from where you are to where you are going in life is not a straight road. It is a possible road; it is not an easy road. When you are travelling in your vehicle, you don't put your vehicle on auto drive and then you begin to go. No! You have to constantly make adjustments to remain on the road. Some people see a vision, in their excitement to move from where they are to where they should go, the derail and go off the road altogether. There are many things on the road but because you know where you are going you must then keep yourself on the road and it is the vision that gives you the basis for corrections and adjustments.
Sometimes, all it takes for you to get to where you are going is just some simple adjustments here and there. If you get the right person you want to marry, your husband or your wife, that is not the end of the story. You will need to keep making some slight adjustments here and there to keep the marriage what it is supposed to be, even though you have found each other and this is what the vision does I your life; it gives you a general picture of where you are going and helps guide your decisions along that line.
Habakkuk 2:2 – 3 “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”.
It is very important for you to understand the power of vision. Anyone who does not have a revelation of your vision and dream is not qualified to correct you or even counsel you. Whoever you sit to take counsel from must know what God is intending to make you or where he wants to take you.
